River adventure and high speed adrenaline glide over trees canopy

Reception at the international airport and transfer to our office in Puerto Maldonado, then walk for two blocks to a private dock where you’ll get a welcoming exotic fruit drink and a short explanation of the trip and essential tips before starting. Lunch with ariverside view of dock or route based on the arrival time of flights. You’ll embark for a half an hour motorboat journey downstream the Madre de Dios River.
Short walk to 30 meters high canopy pending bridge pathway at dawn is impressive. The adventure place circuit is reached by climbing a tower system and stairway that ascend to the tree tops and a platform at 30m above of forest surface. You will feel the air flow on your face as you get across the hanging bridge, that leads to a platform wrapped throughout the huge trunk of an ironwood tree, one of the thickest and strongest tree to be found in the rainforest; orchids and other aerial plants growing between the high branches is usually seen at close hand as the nests of many birds. We come back across the canopy bridge and go up to the high platform that marks the beginning of the zip-line wire, almost 200m long, which we fly through the air flow like eagles to a platform. The exceptional views are only harmonized by the enjoyment of overcoming our fears as well as the adrenaline that flow through us. The 200m long log walkway, hanging above the ground, leads off this system, a balancing act takes us to the platform at the beginning of the second zip line, fly back to the tower that come down to the forest floor.

After lunch we go to river for kayaking, well safeguarded with high quality life jackets, and followed by a motorboat that ensures extra security; This activity is tranquil and accessible for everyone. Going downstream, carried by the river, or against the riverflow we can easily observe the countless birds that populate this area, otherwise inaccessible from the river bank side till reach the monkey island; These beautiful animals are used to have contact with human beings and will get cleser swinging through the treetops, getting down the trunks of the big trees that are part of their home in order to accept food from visitors. Various diverse species live in harmony because of their habitat being in an island.

Before dinner we will go for a night walk around the lodge to appreciate the diversity of insect, amphibians, reptiles along with other nocturnal animals. then night at the Jungle lodge
