Butterfly center of Puerto Maldonado

The Butterfly of Tambopata is a center of exhibition of butterflies live where you will find a mesh enclosure of more than 600 m2, which contains a butterfly garden with flowers of nectars, medicinal and ornamental plants. Peru has the largest number of butterfly species registered in the world, more than 3700 and you can see many of them here in this well-managed butterfly conservation project, one of the best in Peru, started in 1996. There are also exhibitions on the conservation of the amazonian jungle. The butterflies in this place are of many species.

The butterfly garden of Puerto Maldonado is a beautiful butterfly garden and a welcome and information center for travelers. This place of rest includes a cafeteria, toilets with showers, waiting room, luggage store, Internet and souvenir shop.
